TCG Press Release 4/1/98
"We're here to observe immortals." - Joe Dawson
THUNDER CASTLE GAMES PRESS RELEASE FOR 4/1/98 THUNDER CASTLE GAMES BREAKS INTO THE COMPUTER GAME INDUSTRY!!!! The real-time strategy genre has been an ever growing industry and Thunder Castle Games has decided to jump in with both feet. Introducing; Zeist: The Immortal Wars This real-time strategy pits the Home Guard of Zeist against the rebelious Immortals who seek their freedom. You take on the Persona of either General Katana, leader of the Zeist Home Guard; or Connor MacLeod, destined to lead the rebels to victory. Assault the Home Guard base with your Rebel Wing unit. Destroy the Rebel Encampments with your Hover Guard units. Battles can be bloody and long if you cannot destroy a unit completely. A damage unit will heal itself in a short amount of time. They are Immortal, after all. If playing the Rebels, you first mission begins with a recon on the Home Guard base to determine their offense capabilities. Later you'll make a few diversionary skirmishes while you have other forces penetrate and infiltrate the Home Guard base to gater more information or to sabotage. As the Home Guard, you must locate the Rebel Encampment and destroy them, or you may find yourself defending you base from infiltration. Unlike the Rebels, you may find that you have agents among the Rebel Troops who will change to your control during a mission allowing you to get in the midst of their ranks and mow them down where they stand. Always be sure to take the time to do the killing blow, or fallen units will simply get back up after a period of time to continue the battle. A little quickening will flash over the unit showing the 'killing blow' was successful. The game comes with both a CD-ROM and a DVD-ROM version. The cut scenes between missions lay out the story before you in full DVD video and Dolby Surround sound. Fight for your Freedom! Or lay your immortal life on the line to protect your home! Either way, there can be only one! Zeist: The Immortals Wars Suggested Retail: $59.95 Available: Fall 1998 Sam Orlando Thunder Castle Games ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Due to the GAMA Show this week, we didn't have time to gather up some new info for a Press Release, but consider this the Press Release for the day. Happy Fool's Day!!! Yes, the Press Release this morning was a joke. And I appreciate the mail which pointed out that the Zeistians were not Immortal while on their planet and the units shouldn't be so. Or the suggestion for the Beer Vendor unit. Also, Master Swordsman. I'd thought I'd right the wave a couple days to April 1st and it seemed to work. Boy, you guys get really upset when someone plays with your games, don't you. The REAL past rulings for Master Swordsman has been that it is considered either a Special Attack or a Block when it is played. But in your hand it is both. So it is still affected by both Charms. All the funnin' aside, this is still not official until FAQ4.0 and the Watcher Chronicles errata/rulings are released in the next week or so. Wait til then to get the low-down dirty truths.
